Chaguaramas Golf Club House

The Chaguaramas Golf Course is located at the base of Edith Falls, a spectacular and dramatic three fingered water fall that is a dramatic landmark in the rainy season (June – December).

The golf course was built by American servicemen during their occupation of the Chaguaramas peninsula in World War II. Built on 39 hectares, this unique Par 67, 5,646-yard golf course has nine holes and 18 T Boxes tucked away in alcoves of towering bamboo. The greens are generally small, well protected and can be tricky targets, but they are true and well maintained.

The course, from the second to the sixth hole, was built on Macqueripe Estate Tonka bean plantation. Some trees remain that are well over a hundred years old. When in bloom (July-August), the purple flowers present an unforgettable sight. High handicappers and novices can take heart from generous fairways and an absence of a punishing rough. The length of play is on average one hour and forty-five minutes.

The Chaguaramas Golf Course welcomes visiting golfers by extending a Special Membership that entitles you to 20 balls on our 250 foot long driving range and refreshment in the Club House at the end of your round of golf. Even if nature intervenes as it often does in the tropics, the Chaguaramas Golf Course, because of its excellent drainage, has the distinction of being one of those courses on which play can be resumed within a short while after a heavy downpour.
